At Bulphan, we believe Science is a fundamental tool for developing children’s creativity, knowledge and problem solving skills. Science is a time for children to explore their curiosity. Children undertake practical experiments to investigate questions they pose, make predictions and draw their own conclusions. In addition, they develop skills in working scientifically through Biology, Chemistry and Physics throughout their academic career here at Bulphan in fun and engaging ways! Children develop confidence in Science by demonstrating a willingness to modify ideas and take learning risks. Like true scientists, we work hard to collaborate and work co-operatively with our peers.

Science is a fantastic opportunity for children to explore the world around them and ask challenging and thought-provoking questions. It gives them the chance to learn and develop a range of skills which they can use throughout their life. The subject has natural links with many other subjects including Maths and English which ensures that all learning is purposeful.
Science breeds curiosity, curiosity fosters knowledge, knowledge leads to wisdom – but most of all…it’s fun!
