Our DT curriculum is designed to ensure that pupils know how to ‘be a designer’. We do this through enabling all pupils to develop:
- The skills required to be a successful designer
- An interest in design technology, construction and architecture
- A critical and reflective eye – engaging with design
- Opportunities to create and evaluate a range of products
- An understanding of a range of materials and their properties
- A wider vocabulary including technical language
- Engagement with products, considering their purpose and practically
