We understand that you may be concerned about the Special Educational Needs or Disabilities of your child whilst they are not attending school. Please do not be overly concerned about this. Once we are able to return to school, we will continue to provide all children with the high-quality teaching and personalised interventions they need to ensure they continue to make progress.
We would urge you to ensure that during this time at home, your child continues to read regularly as well as practise times tables and other basic maths skills. Children have access to Bug Club , Times Tables Rockstars (Y1-Y6) , Numbots and Education City to continue to learn and practise these skills.
There is also a wealth of online support for parents of children with Special Educational Needs and below are some links to websites and apps which you may find useful when working with your child at home.
As always, if there is any further support we can offer, whether it is to answer a question or to signpost you to more specific resources, please do email the school for the attention of Mrs Fitter our SENCO.
Above all, we want your child’s experience at home to be a safe and happy one, so that they return to school feeling enthusiastic to continue their education with us.
