2019 KS2 Pupil Results
We were extremely pleased with our Key Stage 2 2019 pupil assessments. Bulphan’s results were above national figures in Reading, Writing and Maths. All areas of the curriculum showed an improvement from last year’s results.
The number of children reaching expected standard in all core subjects:
- Reading: 82%
- Writing: 82%
- Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling: 73%
- Maths: 91%
- Reading, Writing and Maths combined: 73%

- Reading: 92% with reaching 25% Greater Depth
- Writing: 83% with reaching 25% Greater Depth
- Maths: 92% with reaching 25% Greater Depth

2018 KS2 Pupil Assessments
This year we had a very small cohort of just 9 children in Year 6. 3 of these children had EHCPs and were disapplied from the SATs. Which meant only 6 of our children took part in the SATs this year. We were very proud of our children’s achievement this year. The results are as follows:
- Reading: 3 out of 6 children who took part in the SATs reached expected standard.
- Writing: 6 out of 9 children reached expected standard.
- Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling: 6 out of 6 children who took part in the SATs reached expected standard.
- Maths: 6 out of 6 children who took part in the SATs reached expected standard.
Average scaled scores in 2018 were as follows:
- Reading: 102
- Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling: 109
- Maths: 105
Progress Scores in 2018 were as follows:
- Reading: – 7.91
- Writing: -1.48
- Maths: -5.42

- Writing: 82% with 21% reaching Greater Depth
- Maths: 91% with 33% reaching Greater Depth
2017 KS2 Pupil Assessments
We were very pleased with pupil assessment in 2017. This was the second year of raised expectations for pupils at the end of KS2 and Bulphan’s results were above national figures in all areas. All areas of the curriculum showed an improvement from last year’s results. We are very proud of all our former pupils.

- Writing: 85%

2017 KS1 Pupil Results
The number of children reaching expected standard in all core subjects were:
- Reading: 80% with 50% reaching Greater Depth
- Writing: 70% with 10% reaching Greater Depth
- Maths: 80% with 10% reaching Greater Depth
